Ellesmere Port Hospital
Ellesmere Port Hospital
Medray Group has successfully installed a new DMS Stratos DR DEXA scanner at the Ellesmere Port Hospital, part of the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, significantly enhancing local bone health services and patient access to specialist diagnostic imaging.
This installation marks a key development in the hospital’s radiology service, with the Stratos DR system offering high-resolution dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) imaging. The system will be used primarily for the assessment of bone mineral density (BMD) and the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases.
“Medray provided a very friendly and supportive approach with the setup of the new DEXA scanner. This new DEXA service will be extremely beneficial to patients, as they will no longer have to travel as far for their scans,” said the DEXA Team, Ellesmere Port Hospital.

South Liverpool NHS Treatment centre
Medray installs first floor mounted DRX Compass into Royal Liverpool University Hospitals FT community site in South Liverpool.
"Working with Medray Account Manager, Sam Parker, was a very pleasant experience. He was very customer focussed and eager to provide the best solution for our site and budget. We had an extremely tight time line to get the install completed and were dealing with many different partners in the project, but we are extremely pleased everything went to plan.
It was impossible to fit a ceiling mounted solution due to our building structure, so floor mounted was the way forward. Although this machine is marketed as a “value” option, the resulting images are “top-notch” , dose is low and the user interface is extremely intuitive. The install engineers Hugh Merritt and Will Cook carried out the install in good time and with the minimum of fuss. Both the engineers were extremely professional and very knowledgeable of the kit. Apps Training by Shweb Rehman was great and he will be coming back to see how we are getting on and help us with the roll out to new staff.
The new install has now brought South Liverpool NHS Treatment centre in line with the Royal Liverpool Hospital site which is also a Medray site" says Steven Mc Donald, South Liverpool NHS Treatment centre.
