Carbon Reduction Plan

Introduction

The Medray Group sells, installs and services medical imaging equipment and sells consumables to the Veterinary, Health and Dental  markets.Territories are the UK, Republic of Ireland and Switzerland.

Being owned by a large investment group, LDC, part of Lloyds Banking Group and operating largely in the public health sector, our plans toreduce carbon and our path to Net Zero are driven by statutory, governance, investor and customer needs.

Statutory Requirements

The UK 2018 regulation on Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), is applicable for the UK operation, but Medray UK is currently below carbon reporting or tax payment thresholds. The requirement therefore, is to make regular assessments and track data to know if andwhen we may cross the reporting threshold.

Owner’s Targets

On Net Zero, LDC is part of Lloyds Banking Group and follows the Group’s emissions targets which include:

Reduce the carbon emissions we finance by more than 50% by 2030 on the path to Net Zero by 2050 or sooner (and halve the carbonfoot print of our investments by 2030)

Reduce our supply chain emissions by 50% by 2030 on the path to Net Zero by 2050 or sooner

Achieve Net Zero operations by 2030 and reduce our direct carbon emissions by at least 90%

Customer Expectations

Public health bodies and hospital groups have aims that we need to consider as we plan for the future, but currently the UK is the only territorywith a legal framework for Supplier plans. In the UK, The Health and Care Act 2022 placed new duties on NHS England where all Trusts,Foundation Trusts, and Integrated Care Boards must contribute towards statutory emissions and environmental targets.
